What We Do

At Leader On Target, we offer leadership education and training to cultivate the skills and competencies necessary for leadership at any level. Becoming influential leaders requires us to develop proficiencies through active practice. I liken this to the process of becoming a brain surgeon; merely reading thousands of books on brain surgery will not suffice. Similarly, leadership demands more than just theoretical knowledge. Despite the abundance of exceptional leadership books authored by eminent leaders, reading them alone does not make one a leader. Nevertheless, understanding the fundamental principles of leadership theory and learning from others’ experiences are crucial steps toward crafting our unique leadership style.

 

I am the chief educator and trainer at Leader On Target. My leadership journey began as a young recruit at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, where I first encountered practical leadership as a recruit squad leader. This experience ignited my passion for leadership.

 

Starting without formal leadership training at the tender age of eighteen at Parris Island, I have since evolved into a committed educator and trainer, eager to inspire a passion for leadership in our youth. Moreover, if you manage military troops or civilian employees needing leadership development, my 27 years of diverse military experience equip me to offer professional development training. Having been both a follower and a leader, I bring a wealth of hands-on experience and academic knowledge. I aim to support your organization in achieving excellence through shared experiences and learning.

 

With nearly four decades of varied professional experience, including leading a team of over 300, and a doctorate focusing on leadership, I have extensive insights into leadership’s challenges and rewards. While I cannot guarantee to make you a leader, I promise to dedicate myself to providing the tools necessary for success.
